Just like our wool desk mats, wool mouse pads are compatible with laser and optical mouse options so they can be used instead of a gaming mouse pad. Dedicated gaming mouse pads will be more precise and are designed specifically for gamers but wool mouse pads work if you prefer the comfort of wool under your wrist. In terms of mouse movement, wool will add some drag to mouse and using a wool mouse pad will feel similar to a high friction gaming mouse pad.
Do You Need a Mouse Pad for your Mouse

Since the latest optical and laser mouse options can work on almost any surface, a mouse pad isn’t necessary. Mouse pads can be used if you:

Merino wool specifically is known for for its temperature regulating properties and ability to absorb moisture without retaining odors. We also combine our merino wool with Portuguese cork, adding the anti-slip properties of cork into our mouse pads.
